MERCER COUNTY, Pa. – September 30, 2011 – Mercer County is ushering in the autumn season by announcing what's in store at McCullough's Coolspring Corn Maze and Farm Market for 2011. Beginning now through October 31st, visitors can enjoy crisp air and fall foliage at McCullough's unique 10-acre corn maze that provides fun for the whole family.
This year, the 10-acre maze pays tribute to our nation's firefighters with an "American Heroes" theme. New features include a shooting gallery where guests have the option of shooting one of the new pumpkin blasters or corn cannons. Guests can also enjoy a wagon drawn hayride through the countryside, the indoor hay maze and pedal tractor races. The recently expanded food menu includes 1/3 pound Angus burgers as well as other refreshments.
Visit a unique piece of Mercer County history on site at the historic schoolhouse. Built in 1884, the schoolhouse was originally named "The Oak Hill School" and an estimated 1,000 children passed through its doors. The schoolhouse now houses a festive display of seasonal decorations, unique antiques, pumpkins, straw and Indian corn, which are all available for purchase.
Admission is $7.95 for adults and children two-years-old and younger are free. Group rates and special hours are offered for 20 or more people. Located on 537 Franklin Rd.
