MERCER COUNTY SPARKLES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
Guests to Enjoy Seasonal Holiday Sights and Sounds this December
MERCER COUNTY, Pa. – November 23, 2011 –Visitors will enjoy historic and traditional sights and sounds that are sure to bring holiday cheer to all who visit Mercer County this winter.
Kraynak’s Santa’s Christmasland, located at 2525 E. State St. in Hermitage, Pa., boasts a 300 foot long avenue of Christmas-themed sights and sounds to delight children and adults of all ages. With more than 85 decorated trees and other magical animated holiday figures, Santa’s Christmasland is sure to become a part of your family’s yearly holiday tradition. The display is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The display is closed on Thanksgiving and runs until 5 p.m. Dec. 24. Admission to the display is free.
Travel back in time with a tour through the historic Stewart House, located at 5465 E. State St. in Hermitage, Pa. Each room in the house features Victorian Christmas décor. The house will be open for tours Dec. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Dec. 3 - 4 from 1 to 5 p.m. The house will also be open the following weekend on Dec. 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. and 10 and 11 from 1 to 5 p.m. Donations for the tour benefit the upkeep and renovations of the Stewart House.
Sample an array of wines and hors d’oeuvres and enjoy the holiday season at Wilhelm Winery’s Christmas Open House on Dec. 3 and 4. The open house will take place at the Winery at 590 Georgetown Road, Hadley Pa. from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as well as the Hermitage Outlet located at 2130 E. State St. in Hermitage, Pa. from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
