DONNA’S DINER RE-OPENS AS FIFTIES-STYLE DINER

March 18, 2011 – SHARON, PA – Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and Chubby Checker music is once again cranking and the servers are donning saddle shoes and red chiffon scarves looking as if they just danced out of a 1950s sock hop.

“We are extremely excited to announce the re-opening of Donna’s Diner!  Jim and Donna Winner’s original intent for the diner was to be an old fashioned, retro Diner and we wanted to bring the dream back to reality,” says Laura Ackley, the diner’s general manager.  Over the last few years the diner was leased to groups serving pizza, BBQ ribs and Italian food. 

“It’s time to take Donna’s Diner back to its 1950s theme,” said Laura Ackley. “We are serving good old fashioned comfort food including several of my own mother’s recipes, homemade milkshakes, burgers (10 WinnerBurger flavors each day), blue plate specials and the best reubens in town. We also have several vegetarian options, and our ‘Golly Miss Molly!’ eat-and-run specials are perfect for the lunch-bunch in a hurry and on a budget – starting at $5 including drink, tax and tip!”

Donna’s Diner is open for lunch and early dinners, Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sundays from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. and is closed on Mondays.  Donna’s Diner will be available for private meetings and parties.
